Yet another team has expanded through multiple research lines and has found they need to divest themselves of quality equipment they no longer have a use for; this time, it is Emmanuel Baudin of the Équipe Nano-Optique at LPENS UMR8023, who has donated a Hamamatsu C4880-21-24A - merci Emmanuel!

After a quick discussion with Ulisse UAR2966, the camera was carefully packed and shipped from central Paris to Nice where it made its way up the winding roads of Mont Gros to l’Observatoire!

This camera, made sometime after 2001 but well before 2016, was designed for that glorious era of Windows that we can only look back on as the golden age (Windows XP, rest in peace sweet prince)… so some interfacing is required to read the digital output signals and transmogrify it into an image capture in the modern day. Looking for an M1/M2 student to figure out the details with an FPGA.
