I am Professor of Geophysics at the Université Côte d'Azur (France) in the "Geoazur" Earth Sciences laboratory. I am also a Fellow of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) and co-director of a graduate school and research, called SPECTRUM.
My research aims mainly at understanding better the role of fluids in the mechanics of the Earth’s crust, especially seismic and aseismic fault deformation. I am interested in developing new approaches combined from geophysical observations and numerical modelling for the study of earthquakes, landslides, injection-induced seismicity, and the dynamics of aseismic slip on faults and its interactions with earthquakes in fluid-saturated rocks.
